The successful candidate will join our multi-discipline and cross-national team supporting in the development of projects in renewables sector.

Essential duties & Responsibilities

The individual performs the routine aspects of engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of engineering principles.

Using prescribed methods, performs specific portions of engineering assignments.

Compiles, verifies and correlates data relating to engineering problems.

Assists in designs, studies, reports and preparation of process deliverables.

Performs calculations, simulations and preliminary analyses.

Uses computer programs as directed.

Participates in preparation of material requisitions, specifications and other related documents.

Coordinates assigned work with other technical personnel as directed.

Assists in development and verification of project controls documents and status rep.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Knowledge of regulatory codes and standards, and design and/or layout criteria pertinent to the renewable discipline.

Learning to be consultant and/or designer - Able to produce quality deliverables within scope, schedule and budget. Ability to work within scope, schedule and budget, and/or communicate issues on tasks owned is a core expectation of this level.

Decisions: Few technical decisions called for and these will be of routine nature with ample precedent or clearly defined procedures and guidelines. Work requires accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed analysis, design or computational methods.

Receives operational supervision and technical guidance from more senior engineers.

May provide technical direction as appropriate to others who perform specific design support assignments.

Work in immediate work group and interfaces with other disciplines as specifically directed.

Able to follow through on commitments.

Ability to articulate well in written communications evolving into technical writing proficiency

Practices safe behaviors in the field and office settings

Willing to perform any task put in front of them

Accepts and seeks out coaching and feedback – Shows willingness and ability to apply feedback

Able to manage personal workload and multiple commitments

Understands the importance of building a network across the business unit and although may need assistance keeping 100% busy, by the end of their time at this level has the beginning of an established network of technology peers, project and task managers feeding them workload.

Required:

Utility scale renewables plants functioning flow and equipment;
Italian grid connection regulatory aspects (CEI 0-16, Terna Grid Code at least);
Electrical (LV/MV/HV), grid, connections, substations design;
Single line diagrams;
Electrical calculations;
Principles of Energy Yield Assessments;

Sizing of MV/HV lines, both underground or overhead, is considered a plus;

Softwares: AutoCAD, PVsyst, Ampere (or similar), DigSilent (or similar) Excel and Office Package.

Education and experience

Degree in electrical or energy engineering;

At least 3 year experience.
