What Will You Do?We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a multilingual Solution Specialist . In this role, you will support the Sales team during the pre-sales phase, working closely with potential B2B customers across the DACH market. You will act as the technical and product expert during demos and discovery calls, ensuring prospects clearly understand how our SaaS platform solves their specific business needs. You will collaborate with internal teams and act as a bridge between Sales, Product, and Customer Success to drive successful deal closure and long-term customer value.
Responsibilities- Customer & sales support: support the Sales team during pre-sales activities, including discovery calls, technical deep dives, and live product demos. Engage with hotel groups, property managers, and business stakeholders, translating their needs into clear product use cases and solutions.
- Solution design & demos: prepare and deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned with each prospect’s business context. Showcase workflows, integrations, and features in a clear, consultative, and value-driven way.
- Technical qualification & issue handling: analyze technical requirements, constraints, and edge cases raised during the sales process. Coordinate with internal technical, product, or engineering teams when deeper validation or clarification is needed.
- Customer education: guide prospects through product capabilities, best practices, and implementation approaches, helping them understand how Smartness fits into their operational and revenue workflows.
- Documentation & enablement: contribute to pre-sales documentation, demo environments, FAQs, and internal enablement materials. Support the continuous improvement of demo scripts, technical playbooks, and solution templates.
- Customer advocacy: collect structured feedback from prospects and early-stage customers and represent their needs internally. Work closely with Product and Customer Success to improve positioning, features, and go-to-market messaging.
- Monitoring and reporting: track pre-sales activities, demo outcomes, and technical objections in CRM systems. Provide insights on recurring needs, objections, or feature requests to support sales effectiveness and product evolution.
- Collaboration across teams: work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to ensure alignment from pre-sales to onboarding. Participate in internal meetings to share insights and improve cross-team processes.
- Upselling and cross-selling support: support Sales in identifying opportunities for additional modules, features, or services. Position solutions with a consultative mindset, focusing on long-term value rather than short-term deals.
- Stay updated: keep informed on product developments, hospitality technology trends, and competitive landscape in the DACH market. Participate in internal training to strengthen technical and commercial expertise.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Solution Specialist, Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales, or similar B2B-facing role.
- Ability to support and scale a structured pre-sales function alongside Sales teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian; German is a mandatory requirement, especially for the DACH market.
- Strong experience in B2B SaaS environments; exposure to hospitality or travel-tech is a plus.
- Technical expertise: solid understanding of SaaS platforms, integrations, and workflows; experience with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) and demo or enablement tools.
- Ability to manage multi-stakeholder conversations (Sales, Product, Technical teams, customer decision-makers).
- Good understanding of hospitality operations and B2B hotel workflows (front office, operations, revenue, distribution, guest communication).
- Data analysis skills: confident using Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Looker is a plus.
- Comfort handling technical objections, solution design, and structured problem-solving in a pre-sales context.
- Understanding of KPIs and sales metrics relevant to pre-sales (conversion, demo success, pipeline support).
- Soft skills: strong ownership, consultative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in solving customer problems.
