We are looking for a DevOps Engineer for our Infrastructure Team. 

As a DevOps Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of our infrastructure while supporting multiple development teams. 

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management and Automation: m anage and enhance our Docker Swarm cluster, AWS services, and implement automation using GitHub Actions.
• Support for Development Teams: c ollaborate with three development teams, providing technical guidance, and support in deploying, monitoring, and scaling their applications. Help them to embrace "you build it, you run it" philosophy
• Database Management: m aintain and optimize our MySQL database. Plan for future migration to a Galera Cluster.
• Infrastructure Evolution: o versee the evolution of our infrastructure, working in conjunction with a partner organization. Establish disaster recovery plan using third party services like AWS. Organize and oversee periodic test of the DRP. 
• Scalability and Performance Optimization: c ontinuously assess and improve the performance, scalability, and security of our services. Identify and address potential bottlenecks and enhance system resilience.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): i mplement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git, Docker, and GitHub Actions to automate deployment workflows for development teams.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: p rovide support for critical issues, incidents, and outages. Develop and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems.
• Future Technology Adoption: stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in the DevOps and cloud computing space. Prepare for the transition to Kubernetes and other technology upgrades.

Requirements

• +5 years of experience as Devops Engineer
• DevOps Expertise: proven experience in DevOps practices and methodologies, including automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• CI/CD Expertise: hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions.
• Technical Proficiency: strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Docker, Docker Swarm, AWS services, MySQL, Node.js, and Git.
• Cloud Services: familiarity with AWS, including EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, and other relevant services & related automatism like CDK. 
• Scripting: proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and the ability to write and review code (Node.js, Python, or similar).
• Collaboration Skills: strong teamwork and communication skills, as you'll be collaborating with multiple development teams and external partners.
• Problem Solving: strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Really very nice to have qualification

• Database Management: experience in database administration, including replication and disaster recovery planning. Knowledge of Galera Cluster is a plus.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and troubleshooting production issues.
• Kubernetes: familiarity with Kubernetes and experience with its deployment is a significant advantage.

Our Offer

Based on a standard level of experience, the offered salary typically ranges between €38.000,00 and €58.000,00. The actual package depends on factors such as location, scope of responsibilities, and performance. Compensation generally grows quickly as experience leads to greater contributions. Exceptionally strong candidates may be offered salaries above this range to acknowledge their higher potential impact.
We offer a flexible remote work policy, combined with a requirement for periodic presence at our Rome HQ.
