Lead Generation Support Intern

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LEAD GENERATION SUPPORT INTERN TO JOIN OUR TEAM

OmniShopper is looking for an intern to join its New Business & Business Development team, supporting activities aimed at generating new business opportunities.

The selected candidate will contribute to identifying and engaging companies that may be interested in OmniShopper’s services, helping the team turn new contacts into concrete opportunities for meetings and agency presentations.

This role combines market research, digital prospecting, networking, event participation, and CRM pipeline management, offering hands-on experience in the business development activities of an agency specializing in omnichannel marketing, e-commerce, and retail media .

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS IN THIS ROLE?

Prospecting & Lead Generation

• Research and identify companies that fit OmniShopper’s target profile.

• Identify key decision-makers and relevant contacts within target organizations through LinkedIn and other sources, with a particular focus on Marketing, E-commerce, Digital, Media, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, and Sales functions.

• Support the creation and maintenance of prospect lists, organizing them by industry, company type, and potential level of interest.

• Gather information about target companies to better understand their business and identify potential alignment with OmniShopper’s services.

• Monitor market signals and opportunities that may indicate the right time to initiate a conversation with a prospect.

Outreach & Engagement

• Support prospect outreach activities through LinkedIn and other professional channels.

• Contribute to the personalization of messages based on the company, the contact’s role, and potential areas of interest.

• Manage follow-up activities with contacted prospects, under the guidance of the team.

• Help convert promising contacts into introductory meetings and OmniShopper presentations.

• Support the New Business team by preparing background information and insights for initial prospect meetings.

Events & Networking

• Support the identification of industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking opportunities relevant to OmniShopper’s target audience.

• Attend selected events together with the team, contributing to the development of new professional relationships.

• Conduct pre-event research to identify companies and individuals of particular interest.

• Manage follow-up activities with contacts collected during events.

CRM & Pipeline Management

• Use Pipedrive to record and update prospects, contacts, and activities.

• Support the maintenance of a well-organized and up-to-date sales pipeline.

• Plan and monitor follow-ups, reminders, and next steps.

• Contribute to the preparation of periodic lead generation activity reports and updates.

Purpose of the Internship

The objective of this internship is to progressively learn how to independently manage the B2B lead generation process , from prospect identification through to the creation of a first business opportunity.

The successful candidate will initially work closely with the team and gradually gain autonomy in:

• Identifying and qualifying prospects.

• Managing outreach and follow-up activities.

• Using business development and CRM tools effectively.

The ultimate goal is to contribute to creating a consistent flow of qualified leads and meeting opportunities for OmniShopper.

WHO ARE YOU?

• A recent graduate or final-year student, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.

• Interested in marketing, digital business, e-commerce, and retail.

• Curious and able to quickly understand companies, markets, and stakeholders.

• Equipped with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proactive and comfortable initiating new professional relationships.

• Organized and detail-oriented in managing activities and follow-ups.

• Familiar with LinkedIn and interested in learning how to use CRM tools such as Pipedrive.

• Determined and resilient, with the ability to pursue goals consistently while maintaining a proactive mindset.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Based in Milan or the surrounding area.

No previous experience in lead generation is required. We are primarily looking for attitude, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate does not simply execute a list of tasks but seeks to understand who to contact, why a prospect could be valuable for OmniShopper, and what the best approach might be to start a meaningful conversation .

We are therefore looking for an entrepreneurial and enthusiastic individual who enjoys challenging themselves, building new professional relationships, and making a tangible contribution to the agency’s business growth.

You will have the opportunity to work as a part of a supportive team, in an agile and flexible work environment, with 2 days of smart working and 3 days in our office, where you can enjoy free coffee and football table games.

We offer a full time 6-month internship with possible extension, Monday to Friday, 800 Euro per month.
