International Venture Builder - ITA/UK

The company

Testbusters is an EdTech group that prepares thousands of students each year for university entrance exams, supported by a team of around 50 people across Italy and the UK. 

We are launching two international expansion tracks that have previously operated separately:

1) Bringing the world to Italy: Students from all over the globe want to study in Italy, a trend that is constantly growing. Today, we serve them through three distinct entities:

1. TopSquad (Bocconi admissions, including programs in English)

2. MedSchool (English-taught medical degree courses)

3. Italian for a While (language and life in Italy)

We want to unite them under a single umbrella,  Study in Italy : an integrated offering whose development is already underway.

2) Connecting Italy and the UK: Through  UniAdmissions , our UK company specializing in Oxford and Cambridge admissions, we operate on three fronts:

1. Bringing business and product lines already validated in Italy into the UK, starting with university exam preparation.

2. Operating both countries as a single unified group, sharing best practices and common playbooks.

3. Managing student flows in both directions: Italians heading to UK universities, and British/international students heading to Italian ones.

We are looking for someone to lead both directions and bring the Italian team at  Study in Italy and the UK team at  UniAdmissions together.

The role

• Design and launch the integrated Study in Italy BU: positioning, offering, partnerships, and a unified P&L across Italian for a While, MedSchool, and TopSquad.

• Develop new UK business lines alongside the UniAdmissions team, coordinating people who may not report directly to you.

• Build cross-border flows: help Italian students reach Oxford, Cambridge, and other UK universities, while using the UK network as an acquisition channel for Study in Italy.

• Build and manage an institutional network supporting both Study in Italy and UniAdmissions, engaging universities, international schools, counseling networks/agencies, and public institutions in Italy and abroad (with priority on Asia and the US). Every open relationship should be capable of driving student flows to both countries.

• Turn initiatives from hypothesis into structure , deciding what to scale and what to close.

What we are looking for

• High ambition and strong adaptability in a rapidly expanding environment.

• Strong teamwork and collaborative spirit: willing to get your hands dirty to support the team and defend the best ideas—not just your own. Resistant to bias and active in helping others overcome theirs.

• Institutional credibility combined with an entrepreneurial mindset: able to negotiate with a university board on Monday, analyze a P&L on Tuesday, and run OKRs on Wednesday.

• Minimum C1 English proficiency (you will work in English with the UK team and external institutions).

• Willingness to travel, particularly to the UK.

• Nice to have: 1–2 years of experience in a startup or scale-up environment.

Trajectory: The role is structured as a pathway toward leading a full group business unit with P&L ownership within 12–18 months, depending on performance.

Compensation & Equity:

• Base Salary (RAL): €50,000 – €75,000 + performance bonus up to €10,000.

• Access to the group equity plan (ESOP), subject to review after completing the probation period.

Recruitment process

1. Initial screening (may include one or more pre-selection tests).

2. In-depth interviews with People & Culture and the CEO (optional rounds with external consultants or managers)

3. Final step:  Asynchronous business case preparation with a 30-minute presentation.
