Trade Development Manager – Italy India Desk Location: Florence, Italy (HQ Onboarding); Mumbai, India (Relocation) Department: Country Sales Business Development Reporting To: Managing Director, India Contract Type: Full-time, Multi-year International Assignment About the Role The role will drive strategic business growth along the Italy/EU–India trade corridor. Following a structured 3-month onboarding program at our Global HQ in Florence, Italy, you will relocate to Mumbai to support our country commercial dpt, managing a portfolio of Italian, Indian, and international accounts. Key Responsibilities Trade Lane Strategy: Execute growth strategies for Air Ocean Freight along the Italy/EU–India route, leveraging Italian business fluency to connect HQ accounts with Indian operations. End-to-End Sales Execution: Lead prospecting, solution design, proposal development, and contract negotiation in coordination with global Pricing and Operations teams. Account Management: Drive client retention, unlock cross-selling opportunities across multi-modal logistics, and resolve operational escalations with local ground teams. Market Intelligence Pipeline: Track trade lane carrier capacity, freight rate volatility, and competitor moves while maintaining pipeline accuracy within CRM. Onboarding Relocation Structure Phase 1: HQ Onboarding (Months 1–3 | WW HQs Florence, Italy) Immersive training covering company operational frameworks, global trade lane architecture, carrier network integration, and alignment with HQ stakeholders. Phase 2: Relocation Execution (Month 4 Onward | Mumbai, India) On-site deployment to manage active field sales, establish client presence, and direct commercial execution across the region. Candidate Profile Experience: 2–4 years in freight forwarding, international logistics, or B2B supply chain sales. Languages: Full professional fluency in Italian and English (required). Technical Knowledge: Solid grasp of Air Ocean freight mechanics, Incoterms 2020, and multi-modal logistics pricing structures. Mobility: Willingness to relocate to India for a full multi-year assignment. Full employment visa sponsorship is provided.
