Silicon Photonics Design Engineer

ppAs a Silicon Photonics Design Engineer, you will help develop silicon photonics IC-based products from design to fabrication and testing. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative photonic devices and large-scale circuits, shaping photonics-enabled connectivity. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration to meet system-level requirements and drive design validation. This is an opportunity to impact advanced photonic integration within a leading, inclusive tech company focused on secure, scalable connectivity. /pulliFlexible and hybrid working schemes /liliMaternity and Paternity Leave (min. 90 days) /liliLife insurance /liliOwn Tx and/or Rx PIC designs and communicate performance requirements to cross-functional teams /liliEvaluate optical link budgets, RFEO performance, and power consumption to verify against requirements /liliDefine test requirements and collaborate with test teams to develop comprehensive test plans /liliGenerate PIC performance documents to track performance across RD and production variants /liliEvaluate new design approaches and drive device-level and system-level optimization /liliInterface with mixed-signal IC, substrate, packaging, and simulation teams to ensure co-design/co-optimization of photonics chips /liliMS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or Applied Physics /liliHands-on experience in silicon photonic device design, characterization, and modeling /liliProficient with optical and RF simulation tools (Lumerical, HFSS, ADS) and photonic circuit design /liliProficient in Python or C/C++ with solid understanding of optics and electromagnetics /lili2+ years of experience in silicon photonics design, testing, and characterization /lilicollaboration across multidisciplinary teams /lilistrong communication of requirements to engineers /liliproblem solving and critical thinking /lilidevice-level modeling and characterization /lilioptical and RF simulation /li /ulpSilicon Photonics Design Engineer catania, sicilia, it /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
