ph3CSA Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre /h3 h3About the opportunity /h3 pPeoItaly, an employment agency authorised by the Italian Ministry of Labour, is conducting this search on behalf of a confidential international general contractor delivering mission-critical Data Centre projects across Europe. /p pThe selected candidate will be employed directly by the client and join the commercial team responsible for a major Data Centre development in the Milan area. /p pThis is an excellent opportunity for a CSA Quantity Surveyor who wants to take commercial ownership of complex Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages. The position will connect contracts, procurement and financial reporting with actual site progress, helping the project team make informed commercial decisions throughout delivery. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3 ul liManage the commercial and contractual performance of assigned CSA work packages. /li liPrepare and maintain package budgets, forecasts, cash-flow reports and cost reports. /li liMonitor committed, forecast and actual expenditure against the approved budget. /li liPrepare tender documentation and carry out detailed commercial analyses of subcontractor proposals. /li liSupport procurement negotiations and the commercial evaluation and award of CSA subcontracts. /li liMeasure and value completed work using drawings, project information and verified site progress. /li liReview subcontractor valuations and payment applications. /li liManage variations, contractual notices, claims and supporting commercial documentation. /li liIdentify and report emerging commercial risks, potential cost exposure and project opportunities. /li liNegotiate with subcontractors and support the agreement of final accounts. /li liMaintain complete and accurate commercial, procurement and contractual records. /li liAdvise construction, design and project-management teams on the financial impact of technical decisions and changes. /li /ul h3Candidate profile /h3 pWe are interested in candidates with: /p ul liA degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline. /li liPrevious commercial experience involving Civil, Structural or Architectural work packages. /li liExperience working on major construction or technically complex engineering projects. /li liStrong knowledge of measurement, cost control, procurement and contract administration. /li liExperience reviewing valuations, payment applications, variations, claims and final accounts. /li liThe ability to interpret drawings, project information and site-progress data. /li liStrong analytical, commercial and negotiation skills. /li liAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. /li liProfessional working proficiency in English. /li liAvailability to work on-site in the Milan area. /li /ul pPrevious experience on Data Centre, mission-critical or similarly complex construction projects would be an advantage. /p h3What is offered /h3 ul liDirect full-time employment with the client. /li liContractual level and gross annual salary determined according to experience and seniority. /li liCommercial ownership of technically complex CSA work packages. /li liInvolvement across procurement, construction, cost control and final-account activities. /li liDaily collaboration with an international commercial and project-delivery team. /li liExposure to the commercial management of a major Data Centre project. /li liProfessional-development and career-growth opportunities. /li /ul h3Position details /h3 pLocation: Milan, Italy /p pWorkplace type: On-site /p pEmployment type: Full-time /p h3Equal Opportunity Statement /h3 pThis position is open to qualified candidates of all genders and backgrounds in accordance with applicable anti-discrimination legislation. /p h3Privacy /h3 pPersonal data will be used exclusively for recruitment and selection purposes in accordance with the GDPR and applicable privacy legislation.
