The noteworthy Event Manager should reinforce client-to-business relations, improve the organization's image, and effectively deliver on event objectives.brstrongResponsibilities:br/strongstrongManaging Event Management and Budgetsbr/strongulliWorks with the management team to develop and implement the business plan and long-term strategies for event operations. /liliEstablishes and monitors measurable goals for the department. /liliOversees event planning team (BEO/Resume writers). /liliResearches and analyses new products, pricing and services of competition. /liliWorks with direct reports to review scheduled events and troubleshoot potential challenges/conflicts. /liliEnsures the property is apprised of all groups that will impact property operations /liliChampions all standards, policies and procedures in the Event departments. /liliOversees the execution of event logistics for all events. /liliOversees the administrative processes associated with the event phase of a function and the associated transitions between all event phases as they relate to the service delivery team. /liliNegotiate with clients to achieve both maximum revenue/profit potential and fulfilment of contractual responsibilities while satisfying client needs. /liliFinalize the requirements of confirmed ensuring effective communication both written (BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event. /liliMaintain an active trace/follow-up system. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event. /liliKeep Opera constantly updated with the latest client’s information. /liliClosely cooperate with the Reactive Sales Team in charge of the group/event till the contract phase and ensure a smooth handover with the client /liliEvaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement /liliEnsures function space and corresponding heart of the house areas are cleaned and maintained. /liliEnsures furniture and equipment is maintained and inventory levels are kept in accordance to corporate guidelines. /liliCommunicates and executes departmental and property emergency procedures and ensures staff are trained in safety procedures. /liliParticipates in MVP audits and level certification for all technicians. /liliEnsures employees maintain required certification. /liliAssists with implementation and execution of all event related corporate initiatives and promotions.brbr/li /ulstrongManaging Profitabilitybr/strongulliEnsures department is working within budget and adjusts expenditures according to revenues. /liliEnsures brand and regional business initiatives are implemented and communicates follow-up actions to team as necessary. /liliMaintains awareness of current trends in event management and integrates into the operation in a timely manner. /liliReviews effectiveness of event operations annually and makes appropriate adjustments. /liliEncourages calculated risk-taking to generate incremental revenue and deliver excellent guest service. /liliWorks directly with major groups when high profile and financial impact will be significant (limited instances). /liliDevelops working relationships with outside vendors and establishes prices and service agreements to enhance the event experience and to increase additional revenue opportunities for the propertybrbr/li /ulstrongEnsuring Exceptional Customer Servicebr/strongulliConsult with customers in order to determine objectives and requirements for events such as meetings, conferences, and conventions. /liliDisplays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations. /liliMaintains customer satisfaction to ensure retention and growth of business through referrals and repeat events.brbr/li /ulstrongLeading Event Management Teamsbr/strongulliLeads execution of activities in Events Department to support the Event Management strategy. /liliLeads event management/operations meetings. /liliWorks with culinary team to ensure compliance to food handling and sanitation standards. /liliWorks with Human Resources to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. /liliEnsures that regular, ongoing communication is happening in all areas of event operations.brbr/li /ulstrongMaintaining Relationships with Property Stakeholdersbr/strongulliCommunicates effectively with property departments outside of Event Operations. /liliMaintains a strong working relationship with guests/clients, vendors and competitors.brbr/li /ulstrongConducting Human Resources Activitiesbr/strongulliReviews staffing levels to ensure that guest service and operational needs are met. /liliWorks with direct reports to review scheduled events and troubleshoot potential challenges/conflicts. /liliAttends pre-event meetings to understand group needs, set appropriate expectations and gather critical information to communicate to Event Operations Team /liliEnsures disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard Operating Procedures and Local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and support the Peer Review Processbrbr/li /ulstrongSkill Knowledgebr/strongulliDegree in public relations, communications, or hospitality. /liliMin. 4 years’ experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area /liliCommunication and marketing skills. /liliProject management experience. /liliGood leadership skills. /liliHighly Organized. /liliMulti-tasker. /liliGood time management. /liliProficiency in various event software. /liliExpert interpersonal skills. /liliRisk management experience. /liliKnowledge of the office package and the MICROS and OPERA IT systems is requiredbrbr/li /ulTo apply, send your curriculum vitae with photo and authorization to process personal data D.
