The role is responsible for managing, in an integrated way, risks related to energy markets. The successful candidate will join the Risk Management Team, reporting directly to the Head of Risk & Insurance Management. Working closely with the Energy Markets teams, the Energy Risk Manager will support the execution of risk control procedures and deliver ad hoc risk analyses to support decision-making across Energy Management processes (Dispatching, Trading and Hedging activities, PPA and Counterparty analysis).Job Description:Responsibilities and DutiesConduct independent analyses of trading and hedging strategies, highlighting the key risk factors underlying portfolio management activities, consistent with outputs from risk tools and market data.Work closely with the Energy Management team to develop and maintain risk metrics and ensure effective risk monitoring and reporting (daily and monthly), in line with internal policies and limits (VaR, PaR, P&L, MtM, stop-loss levels, secured/unsecured portfolio ratios).Support PPA and counterparty risk analysis, including risk allocation review and exposure monitoring.Ensure the accuracy and reliability of risk systems and data flows, overseeing key tools such as ETRM, Power BI sales portfolio tools, and relevant industrial/project risk tools.Key Job RequirementsSolid experience in risk management practices and European energy markets (power, gas, PPAs), including forward curves and forecasting concepts.Knowledge of key risk metrics and methods (VaR, PaR, exposure, Monte Carlo simulations) and portfolio risk analysis.Ability to perform root cause analysis, identify trends, and recommend remediation actions.Ability to work independently and effectively in a complex, international environment, engaging with multiple stakeholders.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Qualifications and SkillsMinimum 3 years’ experience in energy risk management and market/portfolio analysis within an energy company (Utility, IPP, or Trading).University degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or other STEM disciplines.Knowledge of ETRM software, Power BI, and database systems.Good coding skills (Python; VBA and SQL are a plus) and strong analytical capabilities.Fluent in English is a must.Pay and benefitsAt Nadara, we’re committed to creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported and empowered to grow.Our rewards package reflects that commitment, including flexible ways of working, continuous learning and development opportunities, and initiatives focused on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.We recognise effort and dedication, and we make sure it’s matched with fair pay and meaningful benefits - join us and be part of an international renewable energy company that invests in both your personal and professional growth.Equality and equityNadara is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, deeply committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
