Field Market Access Manager - Ostomy Care

About the role

The Field Market Access Manager is a critical leadership position reporting directly to the Commercial Director. The role involves managing a team of two people to deliver access, reimbursement, pricing, and clinical initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a local market access strategy, building relationships with stakeholders, engaging Key Opinion Leaders, and driving successful market access outcomes. The role is national field‑based with frequent travel across Italy.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Develop and implement the market access strategy for Ostomy Care BU in Italy at key accounts, regional and national levels.
• Drive institutional affairs initiatives to build a strong contact network with key institutional players.
• Develop and lead a value communication plan to drive debate with stakeholders, including real‑world evidence generation related to product use and pharmaco‑economic evidence.
• Engage KOLs through educational events, scientific discussions, and advisory boards to foster advocacy.
• Develop and implement clinical training activities positioning Convatec as a reference for education in ostomy care.
• Monitor the market access and health policy environment, identify new trends, and disseminate strategic, operational and financial implications.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams to capture business inputs and translate them into market access activities.
• Collaborate with Sales Regional Manager and Product Specialist to spot regional stakeholders and access opportunities in key accounts.
• Lead efforts in shaping the local reimbursement and tender landscape, collaborating with internal teams to ensure market readiness and access.
• Manage and support tenders at regional and local levels.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in market access, business development, institutional affairs, and/or health economics.
• Solid understanding of MA processes and the goals and strategies of payers and stakeholders in Italy.
• Strong analytical mindset.
• Excellent teamwork and networking skills.
• Delivery orientation – gets the job done with a sense of urgency for critical time‑dependent issues.

Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business or a related field.

• English: Fluent in speaking, writing and reading.
• Italian: Fluent.
