Field service technicians plan and perform a wide range of duties to install, demonstrate and instruct customer’s employees in the operation of company produced machinery at the customer’s plant.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** Work from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, technical procedures and specifications to assist with or install new machines and upgrade as required; responsible for installations of various sections and complete machines and adjustments as necessary to ensure proper operation.* Perform routine and/or emergency breakdown mechanical/electrical service on company equipment; Report quality issues and take corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.* Work in a team of field service team members, contractors and/or customer personnel through the project stages.* Create and sustain a safety environment that promotes a safety mindset, embraces training and adherence to safety policies and procedures, and encourages awareness and correction of safety hazards.* report and correct any unsafe work practices or conditions immediately.* S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology is preferred.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:*** A strong mechanical and/or electrical skill set is required to complete a variety of work in this position.* Knowledge of basic web handling and industrial experience, with focus in the Paper Products, Packaging, Nonwovens or Flexographic presses is a plus.* Knowledge of Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and Siemens PLC is highly recommended, along with a background in machine process control.
