This transversal role focuses on leading all CSA aspects of data center design and construction projects. You will provide technical expertise, develop conceptual designs, oversee handover processes, represent the company in project meetings, and ensure the smooth implementation of CSA. The role will also focus on developing Global CSA standards and ensuring these are implemented on projects. This will also involve significant amount of work with Key internal and external stakeholders (including Clients) to develop CSA solutions. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h3Design Leadership Product Ownership /h3 ul liAct as the discipline owner for CSA engineering within the Engineering organisation. /li liLead the development and continuous improvement of DATA4 CSA design standards across all European campuses. /li liDefine and maintain design principles, technical specifications, standard details and approved solutions for data centre developments. /li liProvide technical leadership during feasibility studies, due diligence activities and campus master planning exercises. /li liSupport the development of scalable and repeatable data centre products while driving consistency across projects and geographies. /li liEnsure CSA designs align with operational, commercial, sustainability and customer requirements. /li /ul h3Conceptual Detailed Design /h3 ul liLead CSA design development for new campuses, expansions and retrofit projects. /li liReview and approve conceptual, schematic, developed and detailed designs prepared by external consultants. /li liEnsure designs achieve the required levels of resilience, safety, functionality, flexibility and operational efficiency. /li liEvaluate structural systems, building envelopes, site development strategies, road networks, utilities interfaces and underground infrastructure. /li liCoordinate interfaces between architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls and commissioning disciplines. /li /ul h3Technical Governance Assurance /h3 ul liServe as the company's internal expert for all CSA engineering matters. /li liEstablish and manage design governance processes, technical reviews and design assurance activities. /li liReview consultant submissions and verify compliance with company standards, project requirements and applicable regulations. /li liEnsure consistency of engineering solutions across multiple projects and countries. /li liSupport risk identification, mitigation and resolution related to CSA systems. /li /ul h3Construction Project Support /h3 ul liProvide technical support during construction activities across multiple projects. /li liSupport project teams in resolving complex design, site and construction challenges. /li liReview contractor proposals, value engineering initiatives and technical deviations. /li liParticipate in site inspections, quality audits and progress reviews. /li /ul h3Stakeholder Management Representation /h3 ul liAct as the primary CSA engineering representative within the organisation. /li liCollaborate with internal departments including Development, Construction, Operations, Procurement, Sustainability and Commercial teams. /li liManage relationships with external engineering consultants, architects, contractors and specialist suppliers. /li liRepresent DATA4 during technical meetings, design workshops, regulatory discussions and customer engagements. /li liCommunicate complex technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. /li /ul h3Continuous Improvement Innovation /h3 ul liMonitor industry trends, technologies, materials and construction methodologies relevant to data centre development. /li liIdentify opportunities to optimise cost, programme, sustainability, scalability and operational performance. /li liLead the implementation of innovative design approaches and best practices. /li liAnalyse project feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve standards and processes. /li liContribute to sustainability initiatives, embodied carbon reduction strategies and circular economy objectives. /li /ul h3RESPONSIBILITES IN TERMS OF IMS CERTIFICATIONS /h3 pRespect or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline. /li liMinimum 10 years of experience in design and construction of mission-critical facilities, large industrial developments, commercial developments or data centres. /li liProven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing external consultants. /li liDemonstrated experience in CSA design governance and technical assurance. /li liExperience supporting projects throughout the full development and construction lifecycle. /li liEnglish: Fluent. /li /ul h3Technical skills /h3 ul liStrong experience in architectural design, building planning and building envelope systems. /li liStrong knowledge of structural and civil engineering /li liUnderstanding of geotechnical engineering principles and site development constraints. /li liKnowledge of European building codes, structural standards and construction regulations. /li liExperience with multidisciplinary coordination within mission-critical facilities. /li liExperience reviewing engineering consultant deliverables and managing design reviews. /li liKnowledge of BIM methodologies and digital design coordination processes. /li liUnderstanding of sustainability principles and low-carbon construction strategies. /li liExperience supporting construction activities and resolving field engineering issues. /li /ul h3Preferred: /h3 ul liChartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE) or equivalent professional accreditation. /li liRegistered Architect or equivalent professional qualification. /li liExperience in hyperscale or colocation data centre developments. /li liExperience in design standardisation and product development. /li liExperience with BIM, Revit
