This is a transversal role within the department, playing a critical role in leading all electrical aspects of data center design and construction projects. You will provide technical leadership, own the electrical portions of the standard product, develop conceptual designs, innovate in your specialist field, represent the company in project meetings, and ensure the smooth implementation of our electrical infrastructure. The role will strategically provide said expert oversight and discipline leadership across all Data4 portfolio of assets under development. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign: ul liDevelop and own the electrical systems of the Data4 baseline data centre product. /li liLead the design and development of conceptual and detailed electrical systems for new and existing data centers. /li liAnalyze power requirements to optimize efficiency and reliability, considering overall data center needs and long-term goals. /li liSelect and specify electrical equipment based on industry best practices, project requirements, and sustainability considerations. /li liEnsure electrical system design seamlessly integrates with other systems (mechanical, IT, etc.) through close collaboration with relevant teams. /li /ul /li liImplementation and Construction: ul liDuring the project implementation, oversee process for new and upgraded electrical systems, ensuring adherence to the baseline product, project timelines and budgets. /li liSupport during key construction milestones such as design reviews, commissioning, problem resolution. /li liIdentify and resolve electrical system issues efficiently to maintain project progress. /li liCollaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth construction and installation of electrical components. /li /ul /li liTechnical Expertise and Representation: ul liStay at the forefront of the latest trends and technologies in data center electrical design and operation. /li liProactively identify and propose innovative solutions to optimize electrical performance, efficiency, and sustainability. /li liProvide technical support and guidance to the Construction team on electrical matters. /li liConduct root cause analysis of electrical failures and recommend corrective actions. /li liRepresent the company in technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on electrical aspects of projects. /li liCommunicate clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency and understanding. /li liCollaborate effectively with various teams, including IT, facilities, project management, and contractors. /li /ul /li liContinuous Improvement: ul liIdentify opportunities for improvement in data center electrical systems and processes. /li liLead the implementation of new technologies and best practices to enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. /li liAnalyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization. /li /ul /li /ul h3RESPONSIBILITES IN TERMS OF IMS CERTIFICATIONS /h3 pRespect and enforce certification policies in terms of: /p ul liHS: Respect and enforce health and safety rules. /li liEnvironment: Respect and enforce environmental policies. /li liInformation security: Respect and enforce information security policies /li liEnergy: Respect and enforce the policy of reducing energy consumption. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liEducation and experience ul liBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. /li liMinimum of 7+ years of experience in data center design and construction or equivalent experience in critical infrastructure. /li liDemonstrated experience in leading and managing electrical design projects from concept to completion. /li liEnglish: fluent /li /ul /li liTechnical skills ul liExperience on electrical Systems and discipline (distribution, backup systems strategies, standards, discrimination study and calculations ). /li liStrong understanding of data center power distribution, load balancing and failure scenarios /li liExperience with commissioning and startup of data center electrical systems. /li liProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent. /li liLEED AP certification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. /li liExperience with data center infrastructure management software (DCIM) focusing on electrical systems. /li liExperience with project management methodologies and best practices. /li /ul /li liSoft skills ul liExcellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. /li liProactive: Takes initiative and ownership of tasks without needing constant direction. /li liAccountable: Admits mistakes, learns from them, and delivers on commitments. /li liAgile: Learns quickly and applies new knowledge in practical situations. /li liCollaborative: Works effectively with diverse teams and adapts communication styles accordingly. /li liResilient: Maintains a positive attitude and composure under pressure. /li liIndependent: Works autonomously and takes calculated risks. /li liData-driven: Makes decisions based on evidence and analysis. /li /ul /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
