Application Management Framework Manager

The Opportunity

Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Application Management Framework across the High Voltage Business Unit to ensure applications are managed consistently, support services are delivered in accordance with Hitachi Energy standards and policies, and Application Managers are equipped with the appropriate processes, standards, and governance.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Define, maintain, and continuously improve the Application Management Framework across the Business Unit.
• Develop and maintain Application Management standards, processes, templates, and governance documentation to ensure alignment with Hitachi Energy policies and requirements.
• Actively support Application Managers through training, onboarding, guidance, and knowledge‑sharing activities.
• Drive improvements in application governance, application ownership quality, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data quality.
• Define criteria for transitioning applications to Application Management Services providers, support application selection and handover activities, and ensure suppliers deliver services in line with agreed standards, service levels, and operational requirements.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve Application Management processes and ways of working.
• Collaborate closely with Portfolio Management, Compliance Management, Application Managers, and support teams to increase Application Management maturity across the Business Unit.

Your Background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of professional experience in IT within a global organization, with strong expertise in Application Management, IT Governance, IT Service Management (ITSM), or a related discipline.
• Experience with ServiceNow, CMDB management, and application lifecycle management processes.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining governance frameworks, standards, procedures, and operational documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and process improvement skills.
• Self‑motivated and well organized, with excellent prioritization, multitasking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across global and cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
