We are looking for a motivated professional to support our FEA Modelling Research team. /p h3Your Core Activities /h3 ul liDeveloping or improving modelling techniques to predict force and moments (FM) transmitted to the vehicle using finite element methods or simplified approaches. /li liUnderstanding how tyre construction affects performance of standalone tyre, and their impact on vehicle handling manoeuvres (soft and hard). /li liContribute to the development of simulation and analysis tools: /li ul liDefine modelling guidelines for accuracy improvements. /li liDefine virtual methodologies and validate them vs experimental ones. /li liCritical analysis of results of both simulations and experimental tests and their correlation. /li liImprove automation and industrialization of simulations guaranteeing efficient use of HW and SW resources. /li /ul liHarmonize simulation tools and methodology within the Pirelli worldwide technical centers. /li liDaily team working with other Pirelli departments (testing, materials, processes…). /li /ul h3What We Are Looking For /h3 ul liA master’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering is preferred. /li liBasic knowledge of software required for the definition of a FEM model; experience in programming languages such as MATLAB or Python for automation of pre‑ and post‑processing. /li liAcademic background or interest in the following areas (in order of priority) would be a plus: /li ul liTire modelling, including physical and semi‑physical models. /li liContact mechanics, tribology, and viscoelastic materials. /li liThermal analysis. /li liFundamentals of optimisation and statistics. /li /ul liTeam working attitude. /li liStrong problem‑solving skills and critical analysis. /li liFluency in Italian and English. /li /ul h3Information at a Glance /h3 ul liJob alerts posting start date: 28/05/2026 /li liCountry: Italy /li liLocation: Milano /li liFunction: Research Development /li liExperience: no experience /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
