By embracing diversity, we believe science can achieve its fullest potential. /p h3THE ROLE /h3 pYou will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. /p pThe “Synthetic and Systems Biology for Biomedicine” Research Unit, coordinated by Dr. Velia Siciliano, focuses, among other objectives, on engineering the next generation of T cell therapies. In particolare the selected person will study molecular mechanisms underlying T-Cell exhaustion. T cell exhaustion is a dysfunction phenomenon that occurs upon prolonged exposure of T cells to antigens (i.e. chronic infections, cancer, neurodegenerative disorders) that causes the inability of inducing a strong immune response. /p h3ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS /h3 ul liPhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology or related disciplines /li liHaving a previous experience with molecular biology, mammalian cellular biology and flow cytometry /li liStrong publication record /li liGood command of spoken and written English /li /ul h3ADDITIONAL SKILLS /h3 ul liExperience with lymphocytes T cells, microRNA or RNA-seq /li liAbility to work in a challenging and international environment /li liCapacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment /li liPossess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset /li /ul h3COMPENSATION PACKAGE /h3 ul liA yearly gross salary of 32.000,00 euro /li liPrivate health care coverage depending on your role and contract /li liCandidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years. /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
