R&D Mechanical Engineer - Industrial Components

ppbCategoria: /b Industrial / Manufacturing /ppbLuogo di lavoro: /b Pisa e provincia /ppThe RD Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the product design, updating, validation and certification. /ppThe RD Engineer will report to the RD Manager and will work as part of an international team, with the following responsibilities: /pulliLead engineering activities to support re‑design, updating and certification of industrial components manufactured locally and at multiple global manufacturing locations. /liliDrive product improvements pursuing a balance of performance, quality, cost, manufacturability, and reliability requirements. /liliPlan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects according to product release and engineering change processes approved within the organization. /liliLead design and validation, including specification development, prototype evaluation, laboratory testing, and production qualification. /liliLiaise with global engineering teams, manufacturing plants and suppliers to align technical development, industrialization and production. /liliIdentify technical risks, develop mitigation plans, communicate status, trade‑offs, and recommendations to stakeholders. /liliLead mechanical engineering workflows for product certification according to applicable standards. /liliEvaluate alternative materials, manufacturing processes, and design solutions to optimize components design. /liliInvestigate prototype performance leading testing campaigns. /liliWork directly with suppliers of materials and components to guarantee technical compliance along the whole development process. /liliPrepare clear technical summaries to support product validation. /liliOperate according to the requirements indicated by QHSE management system adopted by the organization. /li /ulpbRequisiti: /b The successful candidate will have the following characteristics: /pulliEngineering degree (preferably Mechanical or Aerospace). /lili5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development and validation in an industrial environment. /liliExperience with component and product validation, including prototype evaluation, laboratory testing, test-report analysis, and production qualification. /liliExperience with engineering changes involving materials and/or manufacturing processes, considering the balance between technical performance, production schedule, cost, quality, and compliance needs. /liliGood knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals including tolerance analysis, FMEA/risk assessment, materials selection, and formal change-control systems. /liliExperience with injection-molded engineering plastics is strongly preferred. /liliExperience with elastomers, brass cast or machined components, stainless steel, coatings, or joining/welding processes is a plus. /liliAbility to collaborate effectively in an international engineering team and to liaise with all departments involved in the manufacturing process. /liliAbility to liaise with suppliers of materials and components. /liliStrong analytical problem-solving skills. /liliExperience with SolidWorks/PDM, FEM, CFD will be a plus. /liliFluent knowledge of Italian and English. /liliAvailability to travel for business locally and internationally (10% of time). /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
