Our Canteen Chef reports to the Executive Chef and aims to organize and deliver excellent canteen meals with a passion to satisfy the colleagues, keeping a constant eye for HACCP compliance. /ppbWhat you’ll focus on /b /pulliManaging the Canteen meals’ preparation, minimizing the wastage of food and guaranteeing the highest cleanliness and hygiene of all equipment and areas of responsibility, /liliAssuring agreed food standards are maintained at all times, /liliLiaising with the Executive Chef to ensure accurate food cost and anticipating potential opportunities, /liliAttending department training sessions and meetings required, /liliCollaborating synergically with other departments (for example, registering the food intolerances of any employees), /liliSupporting the kitchen operations in times of demand, /liliOrdering foodstuffs as required and ensuring that stock is rotated, labelled and stored in compliance with HACCP manual and Corinthia standards, /liliGenerally being responsible for eco-sustainability, minimizing the wastage of utilities, such as gas, electricity and water, /liliEnsuring that all refrigerated areas are kept clean and temperatures are maintained at correct levels and recorded in the correct manner, /liliTimely reporting any defects in the kitchen and in the equipment according to Hotel procedures. /li /ulpbWho we are looking for /b /pulliProven experience as Canteen Chef / Banqueting Chef preferably within Luxury Hotels, /liliDemonstrate skills in several parties such as pastas, seafood, meats, vegetables… /liliMandatory knowledge of HACCP, /liliProficiency in Italian and English, /liliStrong interpersonal and organizational skills, /liliFlexibility, manual dexterity and skills at handiwork are a must, /liliTeam working and excellent time management for meeting operational needs, /liliA proactive, collaborative, team working mindset, high attention to details and stress management are a must, /liliMust be comfortable with weekend and national holidays shifts on rotation and unsociable hours if business requires, /liliLegal right to work in Italy. /li /ulpbWhy to join Corinthia Rome? /b /ppYou’ll be part of a once-in-a-lifetime project — shaping a 5-star Luxury Hotel from the very beginning.
