Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars. /p pWe are looking for an bAFTER SALES ENGINEER /b in our site in Rome. /p h3Purpose of the Job /h3 pThe main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to maintenance activities (on site or by remote) on Railway Signalling Systems operated by the Alstom domestic and international Customers. /p pThe role includes the responsibility to manage warranty obligations on the projects in the scope of Alstom. /p h3Position in the Organisation /h3 pThe position will be part of ServicesSignalling Platform Organisation - Maintenance Team /p pHierarchical and Functional report to theSignalling Maintenance Manager /p h3Network Links /h3 pInternal relationships with other Alstom Functions: System and Product, Application Engineering, Industrialization, Supply Chain departments, Installation. /p pExternal relationships with Customer infrastructures operators and with maintenance technicians. /p h3Responsibilities and Accountabilities /h3 pThe person will be responsible for: /p ul lidefinition and implementation of Maintenance and technical assistance plans; /li licoordination and support to maintenance technicians on field; /li liprovision of performances and log analysis; /li liprovision of structured “return of experience” process by: reporting, statistics, etc; /li liexecution and supervision of HW and SW retrofit and upgrade plans; /li liprovision of support to Service Signalling Platformorganization in the definition of maintenance strategy in tenders and offers; /li liCooperation with product engineering in the definition of maintainability requirements during the product’s design phase. /li /ul pThe position also includes the availability to perform activities outside of the Bologna Alstom site (25%) and to be part of the team that support by remote H24 the customer maintenance team. /p h3Educational and technical requirements /h3 ul liBachelor/Masterdegree in Electronics/Electric/Telecommunications Engineering /li liCapability to interpret electric drawings and schemes /li liKnowledge of electronic design principle and methodology /li liKnowledge of the most common operating systems (Unix, Ms-Windows, …) /li liKnowledge of the most common net protocols (TCP/IP, …) /li liKnowledge of RAM analysis methodology /li liCapability to use test tools (oscilloscope, wave generator, multimeter, etc…) /li liBasic knowledge of railway systems and or transportation systems would be a plus /li /ul h3Languages: /h3 ul liItalian: excellent level written and spoken /li liEnglish: good level written and spoken /li liKnowledge of French is desirable but not mandatory /li /ul h3Competencies and experience requested: /h3 ul liCapabilityof synthesis and related written exposure /li liCapability to perform analysis and to relate information from different contexts /li liCapability to work in team and attitude to problem solving /li liNew graduate or one/twoyears of experience in electronic or electromechanical company /li liHardware and firmware design /li liKnowledge of on site or remote technical assistance for Electronic/Electromechanical application /li /ul pJob Location: Rome /p pJob Type:Experienced /p pbr/bJob Segment: /bTechnical Support, Telecom, Telecommunications, Sales Engineer, Supply Chain, Technology, Operations, Sales /p h3Important to note /h3 pAs a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in.
