Europe Product Marketing Manager - Bus

Overview

As Product Marketing Manager for BYD in Europe, you own the complete bus product lifecycle—from market insight and regulatory alignment to positioning and GTM execution. You collaborate with European operators, municipalities, HQ product teams, and regional sales to ensure competitive offerings and regulatory compliance. You'll drive product definition and lifecycle performance, with an emphasis on energy efficiency, TCO, and depot-charging integration. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on Go-to-Market leadership to shape BYD's European bus portfolio.

Responsabilità

• Define and steer the European bus product strategy and roadmap, aligned with EU regulations, operator needs, and benchmarks across citybus, intercity, and coach segments
• Incorporate operator requirements, tender specs, and market intelligence into product specs and positioning
• Shape differentiation through value proposition, focusing on energy efficiency, TCO, passenger experience, and depot‐charging integration
• Lead GTM strategy, launch governance, and cross‐functional readiness with sales, service, engineering, tenders, and HQ
• Own full lifecycle from introduction to phase‐out, ensuring regulatory compliance and commercial effectiveness
• Develop and maintain sales enablement tools, tender docs, technical files, catalogues, and training materials
• Support pricing strategy, TCO modelling, and commercial offers (vehicle + charging + depot energy solutions)
• Lead launch readiness activities (documentation, demo fleet planning, internal comms, GTM governance)
• Monitor product performance, operator satisfaction, and competitive landscape to drive improvements
• Provide technical-commercial support to regional sales teams, tender offices, and key accounts
• Ensure compliance with European regulations, homologation, safety standards, and market norms

Requisiti fondamentali

• Strong product planning capabilities and understanding of EV systems (battery, powertrain, charging)
• Experience in product marketing, positioning, and value proposition design
• Solid knowledge of GTM strategy and launch management
• Ability to translate customer requirements into actionable product specs
• Analytical mindset: market intelligence, benchmarking, and TCO modelling
• Familiarity with European truck regulations, homologation, and fleet operations
• Knowledge of bus products and public transport is valued
• Cross‐functional leadership and stakeholder management (HQ, R&D, sales, service, tenders)
• Excellent communication; ability to simplify complex technical topics
• Structured, creative thinking and problem‐solving; strong decision-making
• Customer-centric mindset and strong business acumen
• Ability to work with multi-country teams and cultures; positive attitude
• Experience as Product or Sales Manager in automotive, preferably Bus/Commercial Vehicles
• Engineering or Business‐related Bachelor's degree
• Excellent English and another European language
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
