THE ROLE

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal.

The Synthetic and Systems Biology Lab for Biomedicine Research line is coordinated by Velia Siciliano. The research focuses on engineering solutions for precise smart gene and cell therapies.

You will be working within T-SENTO project, supported by the Ministry of University and Research, aiming at engineering improved immunotherapies with a special focus on improving cell engineering.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will focus on supporting the coordination, organization and day-to-day management of research activities related to the development of engineered T-cell candidates for progression toward in vivo validation. Responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating experimental workflows, sample tracking, data organization and laboratory documentation
• Contributing, as needed, to selected laboratory activities, including cell culture maintenance, flow cytometry and basic molecular-biology assays
• Technical support with reports, presentations, protocols, ethics-related documentation and funding-project records and meetings
• Supporting the IP searching and writing
• Supporting tracking of milestones, timelines and deliverables

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• A Master degree or PhD Molecular Biology, Immunology or related disciplines
• Documented experience in analysis of omics data
• Proactive attitude and results-oriented mindset.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills and willingness to integrate in an international research team.
• Strong publication record
• Good command of spoken and written English

• Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
• Possess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

• A yearly gross salary up to 33k
• Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% for 4 years. [VS1]
