The reference point for the world's elite at international city events such as the Biennale, Carnival and the Venice Film Festival. /p h3Job Description /h3 pA Guest Experience Supervisor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during a specific shift, which includes supervising staff, handling customer issues, and managing daily administrative and financial tasks. Key duties involve delegating tasks, ensuring excellent customer service, resolving conflicts, performing cash management, and guaranteeing the effectiveness of the flow of information across all departments. /p h3What you’ll do /h3 h3Key Responsibilities Summary /h3 h3Guest Services Check-In Operations /h3 ul liManage guest check-ins by verifying identity, processing payments, assigning rooms, and issuing keys. /li liSet up accurate accounts for each guest upon check-in (i.e., sharewiths, separate room/tax/incidentals, comp). /li liAssist staff with expediting problem payments (e.g., problems processing credit card). /li liFollow up with guest regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues. /li liResolve payment issues and follow up on guest satisfaction. /li liReview shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks. /li liCoordinate with departments (e.g., Concierge, Housekeeping) to address guest requests and problems. /li liCoordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in. /li liBlock rooms in the system and identify designated requirements and requests. /li liAnticipate sold-out situations and obtain satisfactory alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservations. /li /ul h3Financial Administrative Duties /h3 ul liProcess all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. /li liBalance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications. /li liCount bank at the beginning and end of shift. /li liHandle cash operations: count bank at shift start/end, balance and drop receipts. /li liSet up guest accounts, verify billing, and process various payment types. /li liComplete cashier reports and maintain accurate logs and contingency lists. /li liNotify Loss Prevention/Security of any theft reports. /li /ul h3Team Leadership Support /h3 ul liAssist management in training, coaching, and evaluating staff. /li liAct as a role model and first contact for employee concerns under the Open Door Policy. /li liFoster teamwork and maintain positive working relationships. /li liReport accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager /li /ul h3Professional Standards Communication /h3 ul liEnsure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and appearance standards. /li liServe as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process /li liCommunicate professionally with guests and staff, both verbally and in writing. /li liComplete safety training and certifications /li liUse POS/computer systems efficiently and maintain confidentiality. /li liFollow all company policies and procedures; /li liEnsure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; /li liMaintain confidentiality of proprietary information. /li liAnticipate and address guests’ service needs. /li liSpeak with others using clear and professional language; /li liAnswer telephones using appropriate etiquette. /li liDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with others. /li liEnsure adherence to quality expectations and standards. /li liPerform other reasonable job duties as requested. /li /ul h3What you’ll need: /h3 ul liYou must possess the legal right to work in Italy, a valid work permit for full time role (40 hours/week) /li liFluent in English and Italian /li liGreat storytelling skills /li liPrevious Front Office experience in luxury Hotels (at least 3 years) /li liKnowledge of Opera /li liA warm, people-oriented demeanor and a team-first attitude /li liPositive outlook and outgoing personality /li liFlexibility, problem-solving skills and multi-tasking ability /li liThe ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time across a work shift /li /ul h3What we offer: /h3 ul liProfessional career progression at international level in 9000 Marriott hotels /li liLearning and development opportunities online, on the job and in class /li liDiscounts on hotel rooms, gift shop items, food and beverage /li liExperienced management motivated and engaging colleagues /li liCharity events, Wellbeing activities and voluntary work in the community of Venice through the TakeCare program /li liCanteen service – Associates Restaurant /li liUniform - Laundry service /li /ul h3Explore our very big world /h3 pAs a world-class leader in the travel industry, there’s no better place than Marriott International to make your mark.
