Overview
As an NDE Engineer at Westinghouse, you prepare technical procedures for inspection activities on steel structural components. You work on methods such as VT, PT, MT, RT, UT, PAUT, and TOFD, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. You participate in technical meetings, support NDE operators on‑site, and lead trainings to disseminate procedures. You report to Engineering Management at the Monfalcone facility, contributing to safe, reliable nuclear components. This role offers hands‑on impact in a high‑stakes, collaborative environment within the nuclear industry.Benefits
- Prepare instructions and procedures for NDE inspection activities (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT, PAUT, TOFD) per customer and regulatory requirements
- Participate in technical meetings and coordinate with other departments to resolve technical issues
- Support NDE operators during inspections and control activities
- Conduct indoctrinations and trainings for NDE operators on procedures and instructions
- Assess operator skills and provide training to address gaps
- Bachelor's in Engineering (three‑year degree) or equivalent; Master’s preferred
- 2–5 years of related experience in manufacturing industries (heavy carpentry or machining) with NDE exposure; preferred in pressure vessel industries
- English language competency: Intermediate B1
- Experience with NDE methods and activity on structural components
- Onsite work experience at facility in Monfalcone, Italy
