Junior Analyst Intern - 6 months Internship

Job Overview

YouGov Shopper is a permanent tracking system that provides FMCG clients and retailers with a complete understanding of shopper behavior through consumer panel household data. As a Junior Analyst Intern we will support main FMCG manufacturers operating in the Italian market, performing data analysis, interpreting insights, and responding promptly to client requests.

Key Activities

• Analytics Specialist : Create research design, provide input for designing statistical analyses and set up efficient processes.
• Project Execution : Proactively develop mechanisms for automation (programming of routines, automated data checks) to improve quality and reduce error rates across teams or divisions.
• Analysis & Reporting : Produce complex client studies, analyze data and trends, generate insights, develop presentation charts, and deliver client reports with corresponding insights.
• Client Management : Serve as an expert in client interactions and manage client relationships in close collaboration with the sales team.

Qualifications

• Higher education in Economics, Marketing, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Statistics, or Quantitative Methods.
• Native or bilingual in Italian.
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English (at least B2).
• Strong analytical thinking, ability to analyze data, and derive operational recommendations.
• Curiosity, inquisitiveness, self‑reliance, responsibility, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Willingness to develop and grow in market research; knowledge of automation tools such as auto‑charting or ThinkCell is a plus.
• Interest in the FMCG industry or prior research agency experience is an additional advantage.
