Construction Engineer - TSF, Site Prep & Batching Plant

Job Overview: The Construction Engineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the planning and execution of the works on site by multiple subcontractors. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Tech Services discipline. They solve complex problems and use their discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Construction impacts a range of customer, operational, project, Subcontractor or service activities with the Tech Services team and other related teams and ensures that they are working within the appropriate guidelines and policies. Essential Qualifications and Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalentFive (5) years of experience in ConstructionModerate knowledge of MDR construction procedures, progress systems, material management systems, document management, and timekeeping systemsKnowledge of MS Office skills, specifically with Excel, and AccessExcellent attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines, troubleshoot, and resolve issuesRespected for uncompromising integrity, work ethic, and professionalismEnergetic with a positive and enthusiastic disposition, possessing a can-do attitudeProject-focused, values-oriented, and results-driven#LI-JA1Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Lead site construction activities in accordance with project plans, specifications, and schedulesSupport the Construction Director and Area construction managers for set up, management and completion of works to be completed at siteCoordinate with Home Office Engineering, Construction, Subcontracting, Procurement and Project Controls to plan, set up and enable site Subcontractor worksCoordinate with the Completions Manager on discipline activityCoordinate with site QA/QC Lead on final inspection and punch list, red-line drawings to show as-build conditions; perform engineering activities to develop/complete design; prepare/answer Request for Information and Field Work Order RequestsSupport the set up and administration of the AWP system for site activitiesIssue and monitor issue of project deliverable and information to Subcontractors relevant to their scopeConduct Constructability works in the home office with engineering and coordinate with Site Subcontractors for input / feedback on designManage Engineering support on the site through the Project Manager at the home officeManage all correspondence concerning questions or issues between Engineering and Construction through a Request for Information (RFI) system for document tracking and controlClose out all RFIs and incorporate them into the turnover systems for care and custody of the ClientAnalyze progress and schedule performanceConduct weekly planning meetings with their PMT and Subcontractors to determine work to be executed in the upcoming three (3) weeksSupport the Subcontractor to generate weekly work plans on an IWP level with input and recordingSupport the subcontractor to request material by submitting WRFIs to Material Management before the execution date and track material deliveryRecord and communicate Lessons LearnedFull timePosting Date: 2026-09-11
