Senior System Verification Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead system verification for complex medical devices, partnering with Systems Engineering, Software, Hardware, and Quality teams to ensure safety, performance, and regulatory compliance. You will translate system requirements into verification plans, execute tests, and maintain audit-ready documentation. You'll analyze results, drive root-cause investigations, and mentor others while supporting risk management and regulatory activities. Responsabilità

• Define and execute system verification strategies for complex medical devices
• Translate system requirements into verification plans, protocols, test cases, and traceability matrices
• Coordinate and perform system-level testing (functional, performance, usability, safety)
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Hardware, and Quality teams to ensure coverage
• Analyze test results with statistical methods and prepare technical reports
• Investigate verification failures and support corrective actions
• Plan, schedule, resource, and track verification activities
• Ensure audit-ready, regulatory-compliant verification documentation
• Support risk management and safety assessments
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and audits
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices
• Drive continuous improvement of verification processes, methodologies, and tools

Requisiti fondamentali

• 3+ years in Verification & Validation, System Verification, or Testing in Medical Devices or highly regulated sectors
• Proven experience verifying complex hardware/software systems
• Strong requirements management and traceability knowledge
• Knowledge of IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA regulations, European MDR
• Experience with DOORS, Jira, or similar tools
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel)
• Basic programming/scripting (Python, MATLAB)
• Understanding of embedded systems, hardware-software integration, and software validation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams
