Culinary Intern - Casa Brera

Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Culinary Intern. 

Reporting to the Head Chef , the Culinary Intern supports the Kitchen Team in the preparation, production, and presentation of food across the hotel’s culinary outlets. Working alongside experienced Chefs, the intern will gain hands-on experience in luxury hospitality while learning culinary techniques, food safety standards, and the operational excellence expected within Marriott International and The Luxury Collection. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop professional culinary skills in a dynamic and high-end environment, contributing to memorable dining experiences for guests.

• This is full-time position, 5 days a week with 2 days off. 
• The starting date is estimated in July/August/September

The impact you’ll make

This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop hospitality expertise within a luxury environment, gaining hands-on exposure to service excellence, guest engagement, and luxury hotel operations.

What you’ll do

• Support the kitchen brigade in daily food preparation and production activities.
• Assist chefs with ingredient preparation, mise en place, and basic cooking tasks.
• Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and storage areas.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating products according to hotel procedures.
• Support staff canteen, restaurant, in-room dining, and special event operations as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

What you’ll need:

• Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• At good knowledge of Italian
• Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Production, or a related field. 
• Passion for cooking and the hospitality industry. 
• Strong desire to learn and develop culinary skills. 
• Positive attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
