Project Manager

pThe Work Package Manager (Project Manager) is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and successful delivery of two offshore packages on a major offshore oil and gas facility in North Africa. The role, which will be performed from Milan, ensures the safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, transportation, offshore installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning support, and handover activities associated with the facilities and related platform modifications. /ppThe position serves as the primary focal point for all package activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, fabrication yards, certification bodies, marine contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives, contractual requirements, and operational readiness targets. /ppThe role is primarily based in Milan and requires regular travel to fabrication yards, contractor offices, ports, and offshore execution locations as required. /ppKey Responsibilities /pulliLead and manage the Work Package in accordance with the approved Project Execution Plan (PEP). /liliEstablish execution priorities and ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, commissioning, and handover activities. /liliDevelop and maintain the execution strategy, objectives, milestones, and performance metrics. /liliProvide leadership to multidisciplinary project teams and ensure effective collaboration across all project functions. /liliEnsure compliance with HSE, quality, environmental, regulatory, and contractual requirements throughout project execution. /liliAct as the primary focal point between the Client, Consortium, contractors, and project management team regarding package related matters. /liliOversee all engineering activities related to the jacket, topsides, living quarters, utilities, process systems, marine systems, and FMWR interfaces. /liliEnsure timely review and approval of engineering deliverables, design changes, technical queries, and vendor documentation. /liliMonitor engineering progress and address bottlenecks affecting procurement and construction activities. /liliCoordinate constructability reviews, HAZOP/HAZID actions, model reviews, and design verification activities. /liliEnsure effective management of technical interfaces between package modifications, subsea systems, drilling packages, and offshore operations. /li /ulpProcurement Supply Chain Management /pulliMonitor procurement activities for critical equipment, long-lead items, bulk materials, and vendor packages. /liliEnsure alignment between procurement schedules, fabrication requirements, and project milestones. /liliOversee expediting, inspection, logistics, and transportation activities. /liliSupport the resolution of supplier performance issues and delivery risks. /liliEnsure procurement activities comply with contractual and project requirements. /li /ulpConstruction Fabrication Management /pulliDirect fabrication and construction activities across multiple fabrication yards and contractor facilities. /liliMonitor productivity, progress, quality performance, and contractor resource deployment. /liliEnsure construction activities are executed safely and in accordance with approved procedures and specifications. /liliLead resolution of fabrication issues, NCRs, construction constraints, and field engineering matters. /liliVerify readiness for mechanical completion and handover activities. /li /ulpInstallation Marine Operations /pulliOversee transportation, load-out, sea fastening, marine spread readiness, and offshore installation activities. /liliCoordinate with transportation and installation contractors, marine warranty surveyors, certification authorities, and offshore stakeholders. /liliEnsure offshore installation plans, procedures, risk assessments, and execution schedules are adequately reviewed and approved. /liliMonitor offshore campaign readiness and ensure all prerequisites are achieved prior to execution. /liliLead resolution of marine and installation-related interfaces and risks. /li /ulpContract Commercial Management /pulliAdminister WHPA package contractual obligations and ensure compliance by all parties. /liliReview contractor performance against schedule, cost, quality, and contractual commitments. /liliEvaluate and recommend approval of change orders, variation requests, claims, and progress payment applications. /liliSupport project controls in forecasting final cost, contingency requirements, and performance reporting. /liliParticipate in commercial negotiations and dispute resolution as required. /li /ulpProject Controls, Planning Reporting /pulliEnsure development and maintenance of detailed schedules, recovery plans, and execution forecasts. /liliMonitor progress against approved baselines and key project milestones. /liliIdentify schedule risks and implement mitigation and acceleration measures where required. /liliReview cost reports, earned value metrics, and productivity indicators. /liliPrepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and client stakeholders. /li /ulpInterface Stakeholder Management /pulliManage interfaces with Directorate, Onshore, Sealines, Subsea Modification, Drilling, Operations, and Commissioning teams. /liliCoordinate activities among engineering contractors, fabrication yards, equipment vendors, certifying bodies, and operational stakeholders. /liliLead management meetings, progress reviews, and interface workshops. /liliEnsure effective communication and alignment of project objectives across all stakeholders. /li /ulpRisk, Quality HSE Management /pulliPromote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with project HSE requirements. /liliIdentify, assess, and manage technical, commercial, schedule, and operational risks. /liliEnsure implementation of mitigation actions and contingency plans. /liliSupport audits, inspections, quality reviews, and certification activities. /liliEnsure timely closure of non-conformances, punch list items, and corrective actions. /liliSupport development of commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness strategies. /liliEnsure completion and handover dossiers are prepared in accordance with project requirements. /liliCoordinate mechanical completion, commissioning support, and final acceptance activities. /liliEnsure Project close-out activities are completed efficiently and lessons learned are captured. /li /ulpQualifications Experience /pulliBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine, Offshore, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline. /liliMinimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. /liliMinimum 10 years of experience managing major offshore EPC/EPCI/EPIC projects. /liliDemonstrated experience with fixed offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, drilling facilities, and offshore installation campaigns. /liliExperience managing multi-location fabrication and construction programs. /liliStrong knowledge of offshore transportation and installation methodologies. /liliExperience coordinating marine operations, certification activities, and marine warranty requirements. /liliExcellent understanding of project controls, contract management, procurement, risk management, and project execution methodologies. /liliFamiliarity with international offshore codes and standards including API, ISO, IEC, DNV, SOLAS,
