You will investigate customer and product data, develop analyses and models, and help deploy solutions that generate measurable business impact. /p h3The Role: Forward Deployed Data Science /h3 pForward Deployed Data Scientists operate at the intersection of data science, product, engineering, and customer success. /p pYou will collaborate directly with Translated’s enterprise customers and internal teams to understand their objectives, investigate their data, identify opportunities, and develop solutions tailored to their operational needs. These solutions may include analytical models, forecasting systems, performance metrics, experiments, dashboards, and data products. /p pRather than working only on predefined datasets or isolated research questions, you will follow projects through their complete lifecycle: from problem definition and data discovery to implementation, validation, deployment, and communication of results. /p pYou will gradually develop a deep understanding of Translated’s business, products, and technology, working across areas such as translation quality, operational efficiency, customer behavior, demand forecasting, marketing performance, and financial outcomes. /p pSuccessful projects may become reusable capabilities integrated into Translated’s products, enterprise platform, or internal decision-making systems. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liWork directly with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into well-defined data problems. /li liIdentify, access, and evaluate relevant internal and external data sources. /li liConduct initial data investigations and exploratory data analysis. /li liDevelop metrics, statistical analyses, machine learning models, and other data-driven solutions. /li liDesign experiments and measurement frameworks to evaluate product and business initiatives. /li liAnalyze customer behavior, operational performance, translation quality, revenue, costs, and other key business indicators. /li liBuild prototypes and collaborate with engineering teams to turn successful analyses into reliable production solutions. /li liCreate dashboards, reports, and visualizations that make complex findings accessible and actionable. /li liPresent recommendations and results clearly to technical teams, business stakeholders, leadership, and customers. /li liDefine success criteria, measure outcomes, and continuously improve deployed solutions. /li liCollaborate with product managers, software engineers, AI researchers, sales teams, and customer-facing teams. /li liHelp develop reusable analytical methods, tools, and best practices across the company. /li liStay informed about developments in data science, machine learning, analytics, and applied AI. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul li3+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Data Analytics, Applied Machine Learning, or a related quantitative role. /li liStrong knowledge of statistics, probability, and experimental design. /li liExcellent programming skills in Python. /li liStrong experience with SQL and working with large, complex datasets. /li liExperience with data exploration, statistical modeling, machine learning, and model evaluation. /li liAbility to transform ambiguous business questions into structured, measurable analytical problems. /li liExperience defining business and product metrics and using data to support decision-making. /li liFamiliarity with modern data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytical workflows. /li liExperience with at least one business intelligence or data visualization tool, such as Metabase, Tableau, Superset, or a similar platform. /li liAbility to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. /li liStrong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, results-oriented approach. /li liAbility to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders and evolving requirements. /li liExcellent written and spoken English. /li liBSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or experience with AWS and data technologies such as S3, Redshift, Redis, Spark, or similar systems. /li liYou have experience with distributed data processing or large-scale computing tools. /liliYou have worked with product analytics, forecasting, optimization, experimentation, or causal inference. /li liYou have experience analyzing data from third-party platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, or other marketing and product systems. /li liYou understand business metrics and channels such as revenue, gross margin, retention, conversion, SEO, SEM, paid acquisition, and mobile applications. /li liYou have experience building dashboards and presenting insights to senior stakeholders or customers. /li liYou have experience with NLP, Large Language Models, or multilingual Compensation generally grows quickly as experience leads to greater contributions.
