Field Service Engineer

This position reports to the Service Team Leader. Responsibilities

• Commission and maintain ABB Marine Azipod® propulsion units.
• Ensure commissioning and service activities are completed efficiently and cost‑effectively, in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
• Commissioning and maintenance of ABB Marine Azipod® systems, including installation supervision, startup, testing, and acceptance in collaboration with classification societies and customers.
• Handle warranty and service calls on operating vessels, ensuring timely and effective support.
• Provide feedback on commissioning activities and suggest solutions for continuous improvement, meeting business and customer needs.
• Deliver project documentation, ensuring quality, following ABB procedures, and preparing all required reports post‑assignment.
• Adhere to ABB policies, communicating issues or opportunities to management.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical power engineering or automation.
• Over 2 years of experience in commissioning or servicing relevant systems.
• Shipbuilding experience and ABB product knowledge are a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents such as datasheets, electrical drawings, and P&ID diagrams.
• Good understanding of industrial and marine power generation/distribution processes.
