Security Analyst – Security Operations Center (SOC)

Within the Security Operations Center (SOC), the Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization's information assets by monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats and security events. The role contributes to the implementation of security governance, the operation of security technologies, and the continuous improvement of the organization's cybersecurity posture while collaborating with IT teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely detection, containment, and remediation of security threats.
• Manage, administer, and optimize security technologies, including SIEM, log management, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, NAC, and other security solutions.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, security audits, and continuous security testing to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain security monitoring use cases, alerts, dashboards, reports, and anomaly detection capabilities.
• Contribute to the secure design and implementation of IT infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments by applying security best practices.
• Support security governance by enforcing policies, maintaining documentation, and promoting security awareness across the organization.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure effective integration of security controls and support incident response activities.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats, technologies, and industry best practices while contributing to the continuous improvement of SOC processes and capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Security or a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise security technologies (SIEM, Firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS, NAC, HIDS, log management).
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, secure communications, and cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
• Experience with vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, and digital forensics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize activities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, shift-based operational environment.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, CISSP) are considered a plus.
• Availability to work on shifts and on-site, H24, 7/7

In compliance with applicable pay transparency legislation, we provide the following information regarding the initial remuneration envisaged for this position.

The position will be classified within the Employee category, at one of the C2, C3, B1 or B2 levels under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).

The classification level and any additional remuneration components supplementing the base salary will be determined based on an assessment, carried out during the selection process, of objective and neutral criteria such as, by way of example, the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and the responsibilities required by the role.
