Banking, Corporate Banking, Placement Analyst, Milan, Italy 2026 - July Intake

Citi is looking for an intern to join the Corporate Banking team in Milan for six months starting in July 2026 and August 2026. Corporate Bankers are relationship‑focused finance professionals responsible for understanding complex financial issues facing our clients worldwide. As a Corporate Banker, you will drive the client dialogue on capital structure, liability management, liquidity and funding strategies, risk management, and investment solutions.

Unique to Citi, Corporate Bankers also decide where to invest the firm’s capital and execute those investments. They work in partnership with various Citi groups across the firm, including Risk Management, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets Origination. If these terms are unfamiliar, you will receive support and education to learn the fundamentals of the intern role and be introduced to Citi’s culture. Whatever your degree, we will give you the training you need to excel.

Responsibilities

Your time here will look something like this:

• Conduct accounting and financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and capital markets analysis
• Complete fundamental risk and credit analysis
• Liaise with product partners
• Assist in the presentation and development of new ideas to clients
• Participate in live deal structuring

Qualifications

• You are available to start in July 2026 or August 2026
• You have strong academics
• You are currently enrolled in a university that can provide an internship agreement
• You are fluent in Italian and English
• You possess solid analytical and quantitative skills, balance sheet knowledge, and high attention to detail
• You have excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment
• You have a genuine interest in corporate finance and a curiosity to learn more
