Due to significant commercial growth in this sector, WSP Italia is seeking to enhance the expertise of our Engineering Services. We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer works within multidisciplinary and international teams, contributing to the development and coordination of structural and geotechnical design activities for complex projects in civil and infrastructure works sector, as well as the civil part of multidisciplinary projects (remediation and redevelopment, datacenter, industrial buildings and plant) for private and public clients ensuring compliance with WSP Italia’s technical, regulatory, and quality standards.

YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?

Reporting

The position functionally reports to the Resource Leader.

Main responsibilities

• Technical coordination of structural (and geotechnical) design activities;

• Supervision and integration of discipline-specific contributions within multidisciplinary teams;

• Technical support to Project Managers throughout the various project phases;

• Verification of project compliance with current regulations and standards (NTC, Eurocodes);

• Technical interface with clients, partners, and internal and external stakeholders, including Global Resource Center of WSP India.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be leading the structural design of civil and infrastructure works, the technical review of design documents, existing team activity planning, quality control, and ensuring compliance with assigned schedules and budgets.

Technical competencies

• Structural and geotechnical design;

• In-depth knowledge of the Italian Technical Standards for Construction (NTC) and the Eurocodes;

• Ability to provide technical coordination and manage resources;

• Proficient use of key industry software: SAP2000, Midas, Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD.

WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?

• At least ten years of professional experience in the civil engineering sector, with roles of increasing technical and management responsibility.

• Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
