Overview

In this role you drive packaging excellence across Campari Group's global portfolio, shaping standards and technology roadmaps to ensure premium brand experiences and cost efficiency. You lead packaging innovation, circularity initiatives, and sustainability measurements, aligning with global standards and governance. You will coordinate cross‑functional efforts to reduce Scope 3 emissions through packaging choices and material optimization. The position offers strategic influence across regions, suppliers, and R&D teams to enable scalable, sustainable packaging solutions. • Identify and drive packaging productivity opportunities across the portfolio


• Promote value‑driven thinking balancing sustainability, cost, efficiency, and premium positioning


• Lead or support early‑stage research on materials, technologies, and packaging systems


• Drive or coordinate innovation programs from ideation to validation


• Collaborate with suppliers, technology providers, startups, and research institutions


• Support open innovation and external partnerships focused on sustainability and technology advancement

Responsabilità

• 3–5 years in Packaging R&D, Packaging Technology, or Packaging Engineering in multinational or global matrix environments


• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field


• Training/experience in Sustainability, Circular Economy, or Environmental Engineering


• LCA knowledge or carbon accounting, design‑for‑recycling/eco‑design


• Product or technology lifecycle management, Lean/Value Engineering


• Understanding of packaging materials (plastics, paper, metals, glass) and their performance and production constraints


• Knowledge of packaging design principles, global standards, and compliance


• Familiarity with recyclability, eco‑design, and circular economy concepts


• Awareness of Scope 3 emissions levers related to packaging


• Ability to assess environmental impact with LCA concepts and sustainability tools


• Strong cross‑functional teamwork and communication skills


• Proficient in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus


• Proactive, curious, continuous improvement mindset


• Negotiation and influencing skills to align internal stakeholders


• Ability to develop and present proposals


• Proficient in Microsoft Office; travel readiness
