ppSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert: /ph3HSE Regulatory Compliance Technical Safety Specialist /h3pPosting Date: 27 Aug 2026 /ppLocation: /ppRozzano, IT, 20089 Genova, IT, 16129 /ppContract Type: Permanent /ppDivision: Plant Engineering /ppLevel of experience: Intermediate /ppRINA is currently recruiting for a bHSE Regulatory Compliance Technical Safety Specialist /bto join its office in Milan or Genoa within thebPlant Engineering /bDivision. /ph3Mission /h3pWe are seeking a dedicated HSE Regulatory Compliance Technical Safety Specialist to play a key role in advancing our Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance initiatives across diverse projects and operations. /ppThe appointed individual will ensure rigorous adherence to relevant statutory and technical mandates, focusing heavily on directives such as the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Machinery Directive, and standards governing fire prevention and firefighting systems. /ppThis role suits professionals eager to deepen their expertise in regulatory frameworks, engineering safety protocols, and industrial risk management within a vibrant, international organisational setting, contributing to safer and more sustainable industrial practices. /ph3Key Accountabilities /h3pRegulatory Compliance /pulliLead the execution and continuous enhancement of comprehensive HSE regulatory compliance programmes, ensuring alignment with evolving legislation. /liliContinuously monitor and analyse European Union and national regulations pertinent to industrial safety and environmental stewardship, providing timely updates and actionable insights to internal stakeholders. /liliSupport cross-functional teams in achieving compliance with legal obligations, permits, directives, and internal HSE standards through expert guidance and advisory. /liliCoordinate and participate in regular compliance audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews to uphold and validate adherence to mandatory requirements. /li /ulpTechnical Safety /pulliOffer authoritative expertise on technical safety related to key regulatory frameworks including the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Machinery Directive/Machinery Regulation, and CE marking procedures. /liliAdvise on and ensure implementation of fire prevention strategies and firefighting system standards to mitigate risks effectively. /liliContribute to industrial safety by supporting risk management measures and engineering compliance assessments across company assets and projects. /liliCritically review and evaluate technical documentation, risk assessments, and engineering deliverables from a regulatory compliance and safety perspective, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy. /liliFacilitate safety studies, hazard identification processes, and compliance evaluations to proactively address potential risks and technical safety concerns. /li /ulpProject Support /pulliWork collaboratively with engineering teams and project managers to integrate compliance requirements seamlessly into project planning and execution phases. /liliAssist in conducting project reviews, equipment conformity assessments, and support commissioning activities to guarantee regulatory adherence from concept to operation. /liliMaintain communication channels with notified bodies, certification authorities, engineering contractors, and consultants, ensuring smooth coordination and conformance to HSE standards. /li /ulpRisk Assessment Continuous Improvement /pulliParticipate in identifying, assessing, and mitigating HSE risks throughout operational processes and capital projects. /liliContribute to the development, tracking, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. /liliEngage in initiatives designed to enhance HSE performance, streamline compliance activities, and integrate best practices within the organisation. /li /ulh3Education /h3pBachelor’s Degree in Engineering General or Environmental Science /ph3Qualifications /h3ulliPossess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (General) or Environmental Science, underpinning technical and scientific expertise. /liliBring a minimum of 3 to 5 years of applied experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, technical safety, engineering compliance, asset integrity, or related industrial sectors. /liliDemonstrate comprehensive knowledge of key regulations and standards including the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Machinery Directive/Machinery Regulation, CE conformity processes, and fire protection systems. /liliExperience within industrial, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, oil gas, chemical, or process industries is essential to appreciate the operational context and regulatory landscape. /liliHave a strong command of applicable European regulatory frameworks and technical safety standards coupled with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities. /liliFluency in English is required;
