No /p h3Offer Description /h3 pDescrizione delle attività: The contract holder will carry out research and developmentactivities focused on the design of innovative antennas and phasedantenna arrays operating in various frequency ranges typical ofSATCOM applications (S, K, and Ka bands). The scientific activitywill be primarily oriented toward integrating structural flexibilitybr/and conformability properties while ensuring the maintenance ofoverall electromagnetic performance. To achieve this goal, theresearch must be founded on a rigorous theoretical study ofelectromagnetism, which is necessary to analytically evaluate theimpact of geometric variations on the radiative properties ofindividual antennas, impedance variations, and mutual couplingphenomena within the array. This theoretical framework will beindispensable for formulating mathematical models anddeveloping specific electromagnetic compensation strategiesaimed at mitigating performance degradation (e.g., beamaberrations, gain loss, appearance of grating lobes, and elementshadowing) induced by the conformation or deformation of thestructures The project will leverage these foundations to guide the synergisticbr/use of construction technologies based on additive manufacturing.Depending on the operational constraints and requirements of thevarious scenarios considered, the research will explore differentantenna systems and advanced manufacturing processes.
