No /ph3Offer Description /h3pThe research activities will be oriented on the areas of the SSD IIND-04/A “Manufacturing Technologies and Systems” and on the distinctive research topics of the " Manufacturing Technologies and Systems" research team of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (also DIMI).br/In particular, the researcher will mainly focus his researche on the optimization of manufacturing processes, specifically on cutting processes and on plastic deformation processes.br/In the cutting process field, the researcher will develop research studies on the workability of materials lead-free, on micro-milling and drilling, and on methodologies to define the flow stress curve parameters of materials to be used in FEM simulation of cutting processes.br/Regarding plastic deformation processes, research will focus on methodologies for the characterization of plastic materials through hot and high-strain-rate compression tests, as well as studying the optimization of plastic deformation processes through numerical simulation. The main goal will be to identify innovative strategies that minimize the energy consumption of energy-intensive manufacturing processes, such as the forging of large components, thus reducing their environmental impact and increasing their energy sustainability.br/The researcher will also be required to actively participate in cross-disciplinary research activities developed in collaboration with DIMI research groups and research groups at the University of Brescia.br/Finally, the researcher will ensure constant scientific production through the publication of scientific articles in international journals and conference proceedings, with the aim of disseminating the results achieved in the research activities developed at the University of Brescia.br/Teaching activities, to the extent permitted by law and the University Regulations, will focus on courses consistent with the SSD IIND-04/A " Manufacturing Technologies and Systems " in the bachelor's, master's, single-cycle master's, and doctoral programs of the University of Brescia. Priority will be given to degree and doctoral programs within the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. Participation in examination committees, supervision of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral theses, tutoring and student orientation activities will be required. The researcher will also ensure constant contribution to the organization and management of the teaching and scientific activities of the University and the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, ensuring his participation in the collegial committees of the University and DIMI.br/Institutional activities: the researcher will be required to undertake institutional and organizational commitments for the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and/or University of Brescia. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
