People & Culture Manager (F/M/X)

Overview

In this role you will lead the People & Culture function to deliver an exceptional employee experience for onboard crew and operations teams. You'll align HR strategy with Orient Express guidelines to support a high-performance, inclusive, and compliant workplace. You will manage workforce planning, labour relations, and end-to-end HR operations, ensuring luxury standards and guest service excellence. This is a hands-on, strategic position at a renowned luxury brand with broad scope to shape culture and processes.

Responsabilità

• Define and implement the HR strategy aligned with General Manager and corporate guidelines
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, payroll, and administration
• Translate business priorities into effective people policies and operational HR solutions
• Ensure continuous improvement and alignment with brand identity and luxury positioning
• Monitor crew KPIs, budgets, staffing forecasts, and compliance with rest periods and working time regulations
• Manage industrial & union relations, including collective bargaining and dispute handling
• Promote employee well-being, engagement, and alignment with brand values
• Support managers in building positive team dynamics and service culture
• Lead onboarding to ensure new joiners are welcomed and trained to standards
• Develop scalable workforce planning processes for future expansion

Requisiti fondamentali

• Master's degree in relevant field
• Minimum 5 years in a senior HR role
• Experience in luxury hospitality is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of industrial and union relations and employment law
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in Italian and English
• Entrepreneurial spirit with strong organizational and project management abilities
• Hands-on and strategic, capable of day-to-day execution and long-term planning
• Proficiency with HR systems and tools (HRIS, ATS, scheduling software, payroll platforms)
