Senior Software Development Manager

Are you comfortable presenting your ideas to Amazon’s senior leaders? Selling Partners depend on us to provide robust and scalable APIs to help them automate, manage and grow their business. We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the technical strategy and execution for our programmatic experiences offerings across API/EDI for Selling Partners and Solution Providers. You will scope complex projects and deliver simple elegant solutions. Your solution will achieve our vision of industry-leading API parity with our interactive experiences. You can communicate effectively with senior leaders and have the ability to earn trust and influence partner teams.
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi‑tier web services experience.
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers.
