Senior Automation Engineer - Pharma

MAASI Enterprises , a leading consultancy in the Life Sciences sector, is looking for an accomplished Senior Automation Engineer to join our team.

We’re seeking a professional with a strong background in IT/OT system integration and proven expertise in managing complex projects within an industrial setting. Travel: 20%

MAASI EU Operations

Guiding stakeholders in the strategic deployment of technology within the company’s production environment.

Identifying and implementing continuous improvements to enhance the efficiency, usability, and maintainability of production systems through IT solutions and data analysis.

Providing technical support for IT/OT systems, with a primary focus on IT components, within industrial production architectures and systems.

Supervising and coordinating specialist technicians from various companies and disciplines throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Ensuring that project documentation is consistently up to date.

Adhering to and ensuring compliance with the client’s quality guidelines and manuals, both general and IT/OT‑specific.

Acting as the primary point of contact and technical escalation for IT/OT and automation matters within the company.

At least 5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer.

Cybersecurity for Industrial Automation & Control Systems (ISA99);

Enterprise‑Control System Integration (ISA95);

Human‑Machine Interfaces (ISA101);

Wireless Systems for Industrial Automation (ISA100).

Advanced knowledge of networking technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, routing, filtering, and DNS.

Strong understanding of industrial technologies and protocols such as EtherNet/IP™, CIP™, ModBus, Profinet, BACnet, and Zigbee.

Proficiency in interpreting electrical, mechanical, or process diagrams.

Familiarity with server operating systems and common virtualisation solutions.

Excellent command of the English language (B2 level).

Solid understanding of regulatory requirements specific to the industry (e.g., chemical and pharmaceutical sectors).

Familiarity with industrial production processes.

Strong writing skills for producing technical documents such as manuals, reports, and intervention records.
