It will also support key strategic planning projects for the business, working closely with Innovation, Customer Marketing, and Marketing teams.Our role as Consumer Insight Managers in Diageo is to take care of total business with ideas and insights that sell more. Our function is rooted in a ‘Strategic Planning’ philosophy and mentality, and goes well beyond functional research delivery.**Proactive fueling the business with consumer/ shopper led provocations and implications to drive penetration grow* Integrative Thinking to synthesize data and understanding from multiple sources in few core messages in a practical way* Be externally diligent - to culture, trends & market place dynamics, to detect the factors that could positively or negatively impact growth* Tenacious prioritization* Lead the planning agenda, partnering with the brand and customer marketing teams on the development of category strategy, portfolio strategy, learning plans, creative development, and marketing business plans* Proactively defines and communicates opportunities for growth for the market, categories, and brands and articulates what it will take to realize these opportunities.* Influences the business to make the right consumer/shopper led strategic and commercially savvy decisions.* Champion continuous optimization, ensuring that measurement & evaluation is integrated into learning plans and regularly applied to drive growth and increase productivity of our A&P spend Effective management of research & planning budgets.## **About you*** +7 years of Marketing/Consumer Research for FMCG, either at agency or client side* Communicator and influencing skills across senior levels to engage and drive consumer-centricity on decision-making.* Externally attentive (customers, competitors, economics, business trends, etc) to ensure the plans reflect opportunities and issues* Experience across all stages of primary and secondary research, from methodology selection to vendor management; Strong Analytical Skills and ability to distill multiple set of data to uncover insights and turning them into concrete business recommendations* Comfortable working in areas of ambiguity even in the absence of high levels of data* Experience in working in multicultural complex environments* Truly collaborative, a key teammate but an objective voice of reason* Commercial savvy and creative; while intellectually rigorous in the thinking* Proficient in Italian and English.**Working with us****Flexibility**This is key to success in our business and many of our staff work flexibly inmany different ways, including part-time and compressed hours.
