Senior Software Engineer - AWS Cloud

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a motivated and talented Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior DevSecOps Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering team, contributing to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our enterprise cloud platform.In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with various stakeholders, including our experienced engineering team, Cloud Operations, Security, Compliance, and other key partners. Your primary focus will be on engineering practices to streamline our software development processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our cloud platform. You will gain hands‐on experience with a variety of DevSecOps tools and application and platform technologies, helping to build and maintain our continuous integration and delivery pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment processes.You will be involved in a wide range of tasks, including application and platform automation, infrastructure management, monitoring, and performance optimization. You will have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with seasoned professionals, gaining valuable insights and experience that will help you grow in your career.As a DevSecOps Senior Engineer, you will be expected to actively participate in the design, development, and deployment of our cloud platform solutions. You will work on projects that require a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. Support architecture for complex applications ensuring they meet business requirements.Implement best practices in coding with support of AI.Perform the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of platforms.Conduct work activities using SRE principles, such as resilience, metrics, capacity planning, toil, incident management and security.Manage cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS and Azure).Collaborate with cross‐functional teams (developers, operations, QA, etc.).Implement and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Build and help transform container and serverless architectures, such as AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), Docker and Azure Functions.Ensure software and platforms comply with security standards and regulations.Adhere to access controls and protect sensitive data.Participate in project planning and execution.Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Ensure customer satisfaction through reliable and high‐quality deliverables.Explore generative AI technologies to enhance software capabilities.Deploy AI models for automated content generation and predictive analytics.

On‐call rotation responsibilities with the Service Delivery and Operations Team.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.Experience with application and infrastructure operations.Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation tasks and infrastructure management.Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) management, including writing and maintaining modules.Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), including creating and managing pipelines.Comprehensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), including designing and implementing cloud services and architectures.
