Backend Engineer Senior

We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (B2B Contract) in Bulgaria.

This role offers the opportunity to design and scale backend systems that play a critical role in securing modern software ecosystems. You will work in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment alongside highly skilled peers, contributing to systems that prioritize performance, reliability, and security. Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to define architecture, requirements, and technical trade‑offs

Optimize system performance, scalability, and security through clean code, reviews, and best engineering practices

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while minimizing downtime and operational risk

Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and technical growth within the team

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Solid experience working with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies

Familiarity with cloud‑based environments and microservices architectures

Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for clean, maintainable, and secure code
