We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join a collaborative and fast-evolving development environment at Amazon. The team manages Amazon-branded payment offerings worldwide, continuously expanding features and introducing new products. Our portfolio includes co-branded credit cards, gift cards, rewards-based payment options, and other payment solutions aimed at delivering a seamless customer experience.
This role offers opportunities to work on scalable, secure, and high-impact payments technologies. You will help define and implement extensible, multi-layered solutions that support both global and region-specific payment protocols and workflows.
Ideal candidates will bring a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and hands‑on experience building full‑stack or large‑scale distributed systems. Familiarity with web‑based or service‑oriented architectures, particularly at scale, is beneficial.
5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience

• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
