As part of our team, you'll contribute your expertise in intricate systems, deciphering code, and anticipating software behaviors to ensure Applied remains the leader in the semiconductor and display sectors.**Role Overview** We are looking for a **Junior PLC Software Develope**r to design, develop, and maintain software solutions for industrial automation systems and semiconductor equipment components. This role combines PLC programming with object-oriented software development, offering hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting while collaborating with global teams to deliver high-quality projects.### **Key Responsibilities*** Design, prototype, and develop moderately complex software solutions for industrial automation and semiconductor equipment.* Develop and maintain PLC software applications (preferred: Create common software modules and libraries for use across multiple products.* Prepare software documentation and test procedures.* Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities on-site.* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders for requirements analysis, project scheduling, and software troubleshooting.* Analyze and resolve software issues; Collaborate with global teams to ensure smooth project execution.### **Required Skills*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/System Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or related field.* English proficiency: Fluent in speaking and writing.* Solid knowledge of PLC programming languages (preferred: Proficiency in C/C++, .NET, C#, operating systems, networking principles, algorithms, and multi-threading.* Willingness to travel frequently national and international.* Familiarity with industrial automation concepts and drive systems.* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.* Knowledge of high-level programming languages (C++, C#) is a plus.* Strong conceptual understanding of software engineering and eagerness to learn.### ### **Location: **Applied Materials Italia - San Biagio di Callalta (TV)****Additional Information****Time Type:**Full time**Employee Type:**Assignee / Regular**Travel:**Yes, 25% of the Time**Relocation Eligible:**NoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
