Accounts Assistant (Fixed Term Contract)

Based in Aprilia, the Assistant Accountant will support and assist with ongoing accounting requirements for New Zealand and offshore-based companies. The individual will also assist with day-to-day process improvements and participate in ad hoc project work. Please note that this is a 6‑month fixed-term opportunity.
Maintaining the fixed asset register and project costs for accounting and tax purposes
Running and checking monthly depreciation and ensuring any on‑billing of capital costs occurs
Opening and rolling the SAP system into the new month, and annually rolling the system over to the new financial year
Completing the intercompany reconciliation process and intercompany recharges, ensuring any differences are followed up promptly
Reconciling intercompany billing
Rolling forward balance sheet reconciliation templates and completing assigned balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner
Coordinating completion of the balance sheet reconciliation month‑end file
Preparing A4s (tax annual accounts) for Group companies as required
Ensuring internal controls are maintained
Performing analysis and forecasting work as required
Supporting projects as required
We are looking for a team player who is keen on learning and picking up industry knowledge. Advanced Excel skills and familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
Native proficiency in Italian and business level English proficiency.
Exposure to SAP or any large ERP system will be highly beneficial.
