Restaurant Runner

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Mandarin Garden Department in Milan, the Runner is responsible to delight and satisfy our guests. The Runner reports to the Director of Mandarin Garden.

Runner responsibilities

Is responsible for transporting dishes from the kitchen to the tables ensuring speed and accuracy of service.

Must also ensure constant communication with the kitchen and colleagues in the dining room to ensure smooth and seamless service.

He or she must also ensure that everything is in order before service begins, from the cutlery on the table to the cleanliness of the Mandarin Garden areas.

An outgoing and passionate resource is required, enthusiastic about interfacing with the guest and willing to offer impeccable and sincere service with a smile and the right spirit of hospitality.

Runner qualifications

The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated person with great communication skills, fluent in Italian and English.

He or she is a person willing to offer professional and impeccable service, ensuring that the guest's experience at the Mandarin Oriental is exceptional.
