The Security and Loss Prevention Expert (SLP Expert) is a key leadership position within the Amazon Security and Loss Prevention (S&LP) team. This role leads the effort to efficiently and effectively provide End-to-End (E2E) S&LP services across all assigned operational business units. Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Actively monitor and report outcome for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.

Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert keeping site leadership informed on department’s key issues, strategies, and performance.

Identify, promote and implement security best practices while effectively partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs, processes, and initiatives, incident response planning, facilitation, and management.

Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time when applicable.

As a SLP Expert, you will join a team of S&LP professionals providing security as a service to business customers across multiple business units within a dedicated geographical area. You perform regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events. During your investigations, you will collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews. You play a key role in maintaining the physical integrity of our sites by auditing and monitoring the health status of our systems and, jointly with subject matter experts and external suppliers, maintain their functionality. Furthermore, you identify and act upon initiatives improving our physical security infrastructure and contribute directly to the budgetary planning for our external suppliers. You interact on a daily basis with our external security service providers to ensure delivery of high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience. You will be working on multiple high-impact initiatives/projects by collaborating with stakeholders across organizational levels to deliver measurable outcomes through effective project management. Finally, you deliver loss prevention-related education and awareness programs to other teams across all management levels and manage the implementation of our S&LP plan.

A minimum of 2+ years in security service OR loss prevention OR asset protection OR investigations OR law enforcement OR 2+ years of Amazon blue-badge experience

Experience in physical security systems maintenance/implementation and coordinating scope of work with security vendors

• 2+ years of operational experience in risk management, audit, data analytics, inventory control, quality assurance, retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery service, or supply chain
• Wicklander and Zulawski, Loss Prevention Qualified, Certified Protection Professional, Loss Prevention Certified, Certified Forensic Interviewer, Certified Threat Assessment Certification or other relevant certifications
• Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and business continuity planning experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; including use of Excel pivot tables and development of charts/graphics
