Night Maintenance Technician

Amazon is seeking a night shift Maintenance Technician to join the team at our Fulfilment Centre (FC) in Dandenong South. Please note the shift pattern is based on business need, and rotates every 6 months from Wednesday to Saturday | Sunday to Wednesday (10 hour shifts, 4 days per week).

Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.
Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
You’ll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites’ equipment to make sure it’s working safely. Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll undertake day‑to‑day maintenance tasks general building maintenance.
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best. We're a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of Fulfilment Centres, Sortation Centres and Delivery Stations.
Served a full Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualified to a minimum of Certificate III.
Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner) or Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license. Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.
Ability to read and understand electrical / mechanical drawings.
Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon. Experience with maintaining / configuring bar code scanners.
